Project: Recnik.edu.mk

Accessibility isn’t just about compliance, it’s about creating a better web experience for everyone.

For this project, the goal was to transform an existing WordPress website into a fully accessible digital experience while preserving its original design, functionality, and user experience. Our team implemented a complete set of accessibility improvements aligned with WCAG 2.1 standards, making the platform easier to use for people with disabilities and more inclusive for every visitor.

The challenge we were given

Building a successful online store requires more than displaying products in an attractive layout. TeddyCoBaby needed a flexible eCommerce platform that could support its product range while delivering a reliable and convenient shopping experience.

The main challenges included:

  • Managing a growing product catalog: Organizing baby clothing, accessories, product variations, attributes, and inventory in a flexible WooCommerce environment.

  • Creating a trustworthy shopping experience: Developing clean product pages and intuitive navigation that help customers find the right products with confidence.

  • Integrating secure online payments: Configuring a compatible payment gateway to support reliable transactions within the WooCommerce checkout.

  • Simplifying the checkout process: Reducing unnecessary friction during purchasing, particularly for customers shopping on mobile devices.

  • Maintaining website performance: Optimizing image-heavy product pages and frontend elements to support smooth browsing.

  • Enabling efficient store management: Giving administrators the tools to manage products, inventory, promotions, and website content directly through WordPress.

The challenge was to bring these requirements together in one cohesive eCommerce solution without compromising usability, performance, or future scalability.

We performed a comprehensive accessibility implementation across the website, focusing on usability, compliance, and seamless integration with the existing WordPress setup.
